Creating and Editing Tasks

When providing services to clients, your caregivers may be required to perform tasks during the visit. Aaniie gives you the ability to easily assign specific tasks from a prefilled list. Here’s how:

Creating Scheduled Tasks

  1. Navigate to the client’s profile that you want to add scheduled tasks for by clicking the client’s profile photo to enter their profile view.

  2. Scroll down to the Client Managers heading, click the Toggle Section Visibility button or click on the heading itself to expand it open.

  1. To add a new scheduled task for the client, click Create Scheduled Task.

  1. The first field you see is the Task dropdown list. This list will be prefilled with standard tasks, and you can begin typing the task you are looking for in this field to search for it.

    1. Note: This task list can be viewed and edited in Menu > Clients > Task Codes.

  1. Check the Recurring checkbox to make the task recurring.

  2. Enter the Date when the task should be completed, or the first instance of a recurring task.

  3. You can enter a Scheduled Time if you want the caregiver assigned this task to be prompted to complete it at a specific time.

  1. The Details section may be used to tell the caregiver specific information relevant to completing this task. The details text box can also be clicked and dragged from the bottom right corner to resize it to fit as much text as you want.

  1. Check the Required Task checkbox if you want to make the task required. If the caregiver doesn’t register this task as complete during their client’s shift, they may be prevented from clocking out when a task is marked required.

  2. Check the Alert MGMT if Client Refused checkbox to prompt the system to send your managers an alert if the caregiver indicates on the TASIR level that the client refused to complete the task.

  1. Check the Alert MGMT if Client Refused checkbox to prompt the system to send your managers an alert if the caregiver indicates on the TASIR level that the client refused to complete the task.

  2. The Only Show if Matching Staff Tag field allows you to choose a Staff Tag you’ve created. When the chosen staff tag is applied to the task AND entered in the Staff profile’s priority info section, Aaniie will only show this task to caregivers who have this tag applied to their profile.

  3. Similarly, The Only Show if Matching Shift Tag field allows you to choose a Shift Tag you’ve added to the Scheduling Dashboard. When the chosen shift tag is applied to the task AND applied to shifts on the schedule, Aaniie will only show this task to caregivers who are working shifts that have had this shift tag applied to them.

    1. Please note, only one shift tag can be applied to a scheduled shift. Your agency’s electronic billing needs may require a shift tag is already being applied to a scheduled shift.

Viewing the Task within the App

  1. The caregivers should see the punchcard view when first logging into the app. Tap the shift to see the details for that shift.

  2. Tap Tasks to expand that subheading to see and address tasks assigned to be completed during that shift.
