Requesting and Approving open shifts - Full Process

The below process outlines the request of an open shift from a caregiver. As well as how to view those request and approve the caregiver for the open shift. 

Site Settings around open shifts:
Menu>Settings>Site Settings Privacy section
See below screenshot a break down of the open shift option descriptions



Show open shifts to Caregivers - allows the caregivers to see open shift in the schedule on their mobile app and full site. 
Only show open shifts that have been offered to the given Caregiver - once a open shift has been created in the scheduling dashboard you can send an offer to a caregiver. Once that has been sent that caregiver will see that open shift appear in the schedule section of the app. 
Hide open shifts for Unassigned Clients from Caregivers - the caregiver will not be able to see a open shift with a client they have not been previously assigned with. 
Show address on open shifts - the address for the client will appear on the open shift request.
Prevent open shift requests that create shift overlap - When notifying staff for a open shift if it overlaps with a current shift the offer will not go to that caregiver. 

Scheduling dashboard open shift options:

Assign Shift - Assign a open shift to a caregiver
Get Recommendations and Get Recommendations + C2C - tool to use and see what caregiver matches for the clients. Going off the matching criteria, preferred caregivers, and tags. 
Notify Available Staff - option to send SMS and email to available staff. Staff will then see the option for the open shift in their schedule or reply the the notification to pick up the shift. 
 
Mobile app open shift options:

Various views of open shifts - The heart indicates the caregiver requested the shift and wanting for approval by scheduler. 


Requesting a open shift - Swipe on the open shift to uncover the heart to request the shift. 

Address for the client - If the site setting is enabled the caregiver can click on the open shift to view the client's address as well as driving directions. 



How to to assign a requested shift from a caregiver - The scheduler will receive an email when a caregiver requests a open shift. Access the scheduling dashboard and select the shift in question. There you will the View requests option. There you can assign the shift to the caregiver that is appropriate. 


View Requests option - There you can see when the request was entered by the caregiver and assign by selecting the assign option. Select the caregiver you would like to take the shift. 


Additional assigning options - You can then choose additional options available for that open shift and click proceed to assign to the caregiver. 


After selecting the other scheduling pop ups, that shift will then bill assigned to the caregiver. They will then see this shift in their schedule. 

Note: If the caregiver is using the full site they would simply click on the open shift and select request this shift
