Verifying and Updating Agency NPI and EIN Information Tip Sheet

Overview

The National Provider Identifier (NPI) and Employer Identification Number (EIN/FEIN) are important pieces of agency information used for billing, claims processing, reporting, and payer communications.

Administrators can verify and update this information directly within Aaniie through Site Settings.


Accessing Site Settings

To review or update your agency's NPI and EIN information:

  1. Log into Aaniie using a web browser.

  2. Open the Menu.

  3. Select Settings.

  4. Select Site Settings.


Verifying the Agency NPI

The agency NPI can be reviewed and updated within the Company Contact Information section.

Menu → Settings → Site Settings → Company Contact Information

Steps

  1. Locate the Company Contact Information section.

  2. Review the agency NPI.

  3. Enter or update the NPI if necessary.

  4. Click Save Contact Info.


Verifying an NPI Number

If you need to confirm that the NPI is correct, you can verify it through the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) Registry.

NPI Registry

The NPI Registry allows users to search for and verify provider NPI numbers.

Search using:

  • Provider Name

  • Organization Name

  • NPI Number


Verifying the Agency EIN/FEIN

The agency EIN (Employer Identification Number), also referred to as the FEIN (Federal Employer Identification Number), is maintained within the Pay-To Information section.

Menu → Settings → Site Settings → Pay-To Information

Steps

  1. Locate the Pay-To Information section.

  2. Review the agency NPI.

  3. Review the agency EIN/FEIN.

  4. Enter or update the information if necessary.

  5. Click Save Pay-To Info.
