This guide helps caregivers download, install, and log into the Aaniie Care mobile app (formerly SmartCare).
Important: Aaniie was rebranded in 2023. The mobile app is still called The SMARTcare App in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
The SMARTcare App
The screenshot shows the Apple App Store search results displaying "The SMARTcare App" published by SMARTcare Software. Caregivers should install this app even though it still uses the SmartCare name.
Before logging into the app for the first time, you must create a password.
Troubleshooting
If you do not receive the password reset email:
Notifications allow your agency to send important information through the app, including:

The login screen requires two pieces of information:
Your agency will provide your portal name.
The portal is the first portion of your agency's Aaniie website address.
Example:
Agency URL:
https://www.agencyportal.smartcaresoftware.com
Portal:
agencyportal
Your username is generally:
First Name + Last Name
Example:
Employee Name:
Christina Aguilera
Username:
christinaaguilera
Your username is based on the information your agency used when creating your account.
You may also find your username in your User Registration Email.

Before continuing:
Many login issues occur because the portal or username was entered incorrectly.
Using the eyeball icon allows you to see exactly what was entered before proceeding.

If you receive an error message:
