There may be a situation where you want one caregiver to care for multiple clients at the same time and location (ex. two spouses). To schedule this, mark the shifts as "concurrent" and enter the number of clients that caregiver will be taking care of. This will divide the wages based on the number of clients. (Ex. If a caregiver is currently paid $14 an hour, the system will split up their pay to $7 an hour for each of the two concurrent shifts).
Note: This will not divide the client fees for the shifts. If you want to charge the client differently on concurrent shifts, you will have to manually change their fees.
For quick shifts, in the clients view, fill out the shift info and then check the Concurrent Shift box as "Yes" and select the total number of clients being cared for at the same time under the "Clients" dropdown box. Drag the shift to the appropriate day of the week for each client that will be cared for at the same time with the same caregiver. Then, repeat the process, selecting the same number of clients (the total number) for each client that will be cared for at the same time with the same caregiver.
When creating shifts in bulk, go to 'Create Shifts' under the utility drawer in the scheduler and go through the form like you normally would. Check the Concurrent Shift field as "Yes" and select the Number of Clients as the total amount of clients that will be cared for at the same time with the same caregiver. Schedule that and then replicate the process for each client that will be cared for at the same time with the same caregiver. Be sure to select the same total number of clients in the Number of Clients field each time.
