Making Time Off Requests

Making Time Off Requests

Here is how staff members can create time off requests on the mobile app, as well as, on the browser.

Mobile App:

1) Go to the Schedule and click the "+" in the upper-right corner.

2) Select "Time-Off Request".

(If your agency has Paid Sick Leave, Paid Time Off, and/or Paid Holiday settings enabled, you will also see these options.  The process for submitting Paid Time Off Requests and Unpaid Time Off Requests are the same.)

3) Fill in the date, request type (Partial Day or All Day), the beginning and end time (if this is an All Day request, select 12:00am-11:59pm for the time requirement, see image below), and the explanation/reason for the Time-Off Request.  Once you've filled these in, click the Save icon in the upper-right corner.

***If you are making a Time-Off Request for multiple days, you will need to repeat this step***

4) You should now see this request when you go back to your Schedule.  When the scheduler approves/denies this request, you will see the status of it change from 'Pending' to either 'Approved' or 'Denied'.

Via Browser

1) Go to My Schedule.  You can do so by clicking the Calendar icon under My SmartCare or My Schedule under Quick Links (if you have this setup for your Quick Links).

2) Click the briefcase icon below My Schedule and select Request Off (again, if your agency has Paid Sick Leave or Paid Time Off enabled, you will see those options here.  The process for submitting Paid Time Off Requests and Unpaid Time Off Requests are the same.).  After doing so, you will select the date, time (if Partial Day request), request type (Partial Day or All Day), and the explanation/reason for the request.

***If you are making a Time-Off Request for multiple days, you will need to repeat this step***

3) After clicking the save icon, you will see your request on the Schedule.  When the scheduler approves/denies this request, you will see the status of it change from 'Pending' to either 'Approved' or 'Denied'.
