The difference between Client Deposits and Service Deposits is noted below:
Client Deposits:
Client Deposits are located in the clients profile under the Accounting section.
NOTE: When adding a client deposit this is just for reference. It will not show on any invoices or billing reports.
To create a client deposit and enter the information when you have received that deposit from the client. Click the pencil/paper option to the right of client deposits.
When you receive the money you would make the status Holding.
When the money is returned back to the client you would edit the deposit and change the status to Refunded with that information noted:
As the Client Deposit is for record keeping purposes only, you have the ability under the Actions section the right to view PDF, Print, Download PDF, view the history and delete.
Service Deposit and Service Deposit Returns:
Service deposits and Service Deposit Returns are located in the client's profile under the Invoicing section. What you enter is this section will be visible on the billing period invoice.
To create you would select the billing period and then select the pencil/paper icon the right of the each section.
Once created, the amount will show on that billing period's invoice.
